February 2011 Meeting Reminder

This post is a reminder that the February 2011 CCW meeting will be held next Monday, February 28th at 6:00 p.m. at the Construction Lab at the Clarke Central High School.

Mr. Phil Colson from Highland Woodworking will be our demonstrator.

Members who have not paid dues can do so at the beginning of the meeting; please see Ron Leuthner, our new Treasurer. You can pay by cash or check, please no credit cards.

The CCW student group is still looking for donations of used tools or money donations that can be used to purchase tools.

If you have wood or other items that can be used in the raffle, please bring those along. The club will be purchasing items for the raffle in addition to the regular donation of wood that is supplied by club members. Raffle tickets are a dollar apiece or 6 for five dollars. Please remember that raffle donations are an important source of income for the club, used for expenses such as demonstrator fees and tool and equipment purchases. The Executive Committee, at the January committee meeting, decided that a portion of the raffle donations will now be used to purchase additional raffle items.

Club members may choose to join fellow members for dinner at 5:00 p.m. at the
La Parilla restuarant in the Homewood Hills Shopping Center. Hope to see you there.

New Website for 2011

Welcome to the new website!  There are still parts of it that are under construction (i.e. the Gallery), and I hope to make some improvements along the way to things such as the layout of tables.  If you find anything that you think needs improvement, or simply does not work correctly in your browser, please email me at wood@schwobu.com and I will make an effort to address the issue.

Please note that the menus above have content at the main level as well as the pull-down menus underneath.  For example, “Meetings” tells where and when we meet, but “Schedule” holds additional information about our meetings.  Most of the content from the old site can be found on this new site.  If there was something that you found useful that you believe was left behind, please email me and I will look into it.  Thank you all for your patience as I work on this site!
