May 2011 Meeting Reminder
This post is a reminder that the May 2011 CCW meeting will be held next Monday, May 23rd at 6:00 p.m. at the Construction Lab at the Clarke Central High School. Please note that this is a change from the usual “last Monday of the month” due to the upcoming Memorial Day holiday.
Jack Morse will be demonstrating turning a vase, as well as some sanding and finishing techniques.
If you have wood or other items that can be used in the raffle, please bring those along. The club will be purchasing items for the raffle in addition to the regular donation of wood that is supplied by club members. Raffle tickets are a dollar apiece or 6 for five dollars. Please remember that raffle donations are an important source of income for the club, used for expenses such as demonstrator fees and tool and equipment purchases.
Club members may choose to join fellow members for dinner at 5:00 p.m. at the La Parilla restuarant in the Homewood Hills Shopping Center. Hope to see you there!
A Banner for Events!
We are buying a banner for use at demos and various club functions. Here’s a sneak preview of what it will look like!
